What is CCBT?
CCBT stands for Computerised Cognitive Behaviour Therapy. That is, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy provided using a computer. CBT is a practical approach; it teaches the skills to help us change our thoughts and feelings.
Research shows CBT can be just as effective as medication, sometimes more so. The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence, or NICE, recommend CBT and CCBT for the treatment of stress, anxiety, and depression.
We use a modified model of CBT, and a range of learning and change theories in our innovative approach.
What is our approach?
Many people suffer from the symptoms of depression and anxiety at the same time. Mixed anxiety and depression is the most common mental health problem of all. About 12% of the population have mixed anxiety and depression at any one time.
Emotion regulation skills and mindfulness can help with the symptoms of anxiety and depression. These same approaches can also help when we’re stressed. They can help prevent stress becoming something more serious and longer lasting. Our approach is transdiagnostic. That is, it helps with more than one problem at a time.
